Global Warming Facts - Is Global Warming for Real?
Global Warming is alarming global situation that needs our outmost
concern. The things mankind had done to mother earth now seem to take
revenge.
Our planet earth has show signs of climate change. The temperature
raise up to 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit or 0.8 degrees Celsius but this
figure was estimated since 1880 so it must have gone up many times by
now. Since warming increases gradually the 20th century last two decades
was recorded as the hottest within 400 years.
Although the rise in temperature is felt all over the globe, Arctic
fells the effects above all. In particular places such as Alaska,
Western Canada and Eastern Russia the temperature has gone up twice than
the average global temperature. This is based on the report compiled by
Arctic Climate Impact Assessment report from 2000-2004.
The fact is Arctic ice is rapidly vanishing, and by the year 2040 or
even earlier the polar bears will lost its home because the region will
completely become ice free. Montana’s Glacier National Park has 150
glaciers last 1910 but now there are 27 left showing how fast the
melting process is.
The temperature of the ocean has gone up making coral reef suffer the
worst bleaching. This was recorded last 1998 and this must have been
intensified, as the expert said this going to happened for the next 50
years.
Base on the studies and research made by experts, the sudden change
in weather condition that has bring extensive event and calamity such as
wildfires, heat waves and strong tropical storms was due to global
warming.
Many said that global warming was caused by human or in short man
made. Yes, that is the fact, 2500 scientist that came from more than 130
countries said that definitely human beings was the main reason of
global warming or anthropogenic climate change. We are responsible of
spreading carbon dioxide into the atmosphere; Industrialization,
deforestation and pollution were created by mankind that eventually
contributed to the increase of greenhouse gases.
Greenhouse gases had existed for more than many decades in the
atmosphere so it could not easily or suddenly stop even if we stop
emission today. There are scientists that concluded pointing the natural
cycles of the earth as the source of this phenomenon. The earth’s orbit
has change the position of planet towards the sun resulting to warming
and cooling cycles in the earth which will last every hundred thousand
years. But this theory seems be false because as of now changes takes
place hundred years or even less. |
