Global warming: Is it a threat or myth?
What is Global Warming?
Global Warming is defined as the increase of earth’s temperature
beyond its normal condition. Study shows that the air temperature near
the surface of the earth rise up and the effect was felt in some part of
the universe. After conducting a series of test and observations, the
IPCC or the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concluded that
this phenomenon is due of the increase in anthropogenic greenhouse
concentration which is man made. This conclusion was endorsed by many
experts but there are also scientists that disagree. In spite of
disagreement of some scientist the IPCC gain conformity from the
majority of scientist especially those who works on climate
transformation. Basing on the climate model projection the increase of
temperature will continue during the 21st century rising from 1.1 to 6.4
°C furthermore, the warming and sea level increase will last up to
thousand years even the greenhouse gas will go back to normal condition.
Due to huge heat capacity of the oceans, it takes too long to reach the
equilibrium. It is expected that due to increase of global temperature
the sea level will raise intensifying extreme weather conditions and the
alteration of the pattern of precipitation would result to increase pace
of desertification.
What is this greenhouse gases?
Greenhouse gases are water vapor and carbon dioxide found in the
earth’s atmosphere. Definitely it is man made. These gases came from
industry, fuels such as petroleum and coal which produces carbon dioxide
.Over 50% increase of carbon dioxide concentration was discovered as of
2003. The thick greenhouse gas blocked infrared radiation which is
responsible in cooling the earth. The infrared radiation is very
important in maintaining the earth’s temperature base on the concept of
energy balance.
Is global warming threat to mankind?
Many conflicting theories come up regarding the effect of global
warming to mankind. This can be serious threat because no one can tell
the future. The rise in temperature will effect every 10 years for the
next 100 years or more. No one is certain of whatever transpire in the
near future it is a very complex process that mostly involves water and
likely to affect
electricity
prices. The
weather will act to cool the earth such as clouds. It is so dangerous if
the clouds will do the change in global warming because it could either
intensify or reduce it. Evaporation is most likely act to change the
global warming. It will remove a large amount of heat from the surface
of the earth and deposit it on higher atmosphere wherein the rain clouds
form too. It definitely affects the rain systems. On the other hand, if
those rain systems will turn to be efficient in changing water vapor
into precipitation this would counteract global warming.
